Introduction to the album
"A Long Way from your Heart"by the Turnpike Troubadours is a Country album released on October 20, 2017. I think this album is the perfect listen for someone who does not consider themselves to be a country music fan. It creates a perfect blend of genres that gives the album a warm, nostalgic feel. I was introduced to the album by one of my best friends, Lucy Fuselier who is from Austin, Texas. She has such an extensive knowledge of Country music and has introduced me to some of my favorite songs. This album provides the perfect sound for a lengthy roadtrip, and it is easy to sing along to. You don't have to be an expert singer to follow along with the voices of the artists.
Who are the Turnpike Troubadours?
They are a country music band from Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The band was founded in 2005, and they have since released six albums with one album earning a spot at number 17 on the Billboard 200. This was their self-titled album "Turnpike Troubadors." The band's lead singer is Evan Felker, songwriter and guitarist from Okemah, Oklahoma. The band separated in May of 2019, but has since gotten back together and released a new album in 2023.
